Sunrise Easter Service at Red Rocks!

This is an awesome Denver tradition. The famous Red Rocks open-air amphitheater hosts one of the most awe-inspiring Easter traditions anywhere.  The amphitheater faces east, so faithful Christians are treated to an incredible view of the sunrise while in the seating area.  Tomorrow at 6:00am, the Colorado Counsel of Churches will lead the annual celebration of Christ’s resurrection.

What to know if you are coming to Red Rocks tomorrow morning:

    • Weather should be not be an issue, so expect a full house (appx 9,500)
    • Gates open at 4:30am, most Starbucks open at 5:00am, so plan accordingly.
    • Bring non-perishable food items to donate to FoodWorks Colorado.
    • It will be chilly, prior to sunrise, but once the sun is up, you’ll want to peel off layers.
    • Admission and Parking are FREE. Park at the Top Circle Lot or the Upper North Lot for easy access to the seating area.  You’ll walk down to the seating bowl, all other parking means you walk up to the seating bowl.
    • Briar Branch from north Denver will provide the pre-service music.
    • Rev. Nadia Bolz-Weber will deliver the Easter Sermon, she was featured on the front page of today’s Denver Post.
